Anchored in F Major, this work utilizes a key signature of one flat (B♭). The composer builds structural coherence around F, deploying the relative pole (D Minor) to introduce tonal contrast before resolving through C Major. The chordal vocabulary centers upon stable tonic statements alternating with C Major pivots. Pianistically, the key produces a warm, resonant setting where navigating the single flat requires thoughtful thumb management.

When programming this selection, music educators frequently schedule 3 Mystical Chorals for sanctuary services, choral preludes, and devotional ceremonies.
