Alice's Theme Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

Benchmarked against Intermediate syllabus standards (transitional keyboard syllabus (ABRSM Grade 4 to Trinity Grade 5)), the work develops refined tonal control. Key hurdles center on managing two-part hand coordination and synchronizing pedal changes with harmonic shifts. Supporting figures featuring contemporary broken triad ostinatos and resonant pedal points need relaxed wrist cushioning. Pedal coordination: execute full pedal clears at dynamic changes to highlight intimate moments. Preparatory Exercise: record your practice with emphasis on listening for crisp pedal releases on each harmonic pivot.

Metric propulsion relies on 4/4 (simple quadruple meter), giving the piece a well-proportioned metric pulse alternating primary and secondary stresses across the measure. Set to a metronome speed of ♩ = 75 BPM (*Moderato cantabile*), the overall character feels poised with natural rhythmic breathing. Pianists should ensure that they subdivide internally with relaxed forearm weight to prevent metric stiffness across bar lines.

Framed in C Minor, the score establishes C through a key signature featuring three flats (B♭, E♭, A♭, with B♮ raised leading tone). Harmonic variety is enriched through dialogue with the relative minor/major (E-flat Major) alongside strong cadential support from G Major. Harmonically, the progression Cm → Dm → G → C → F → E7 cycles smoothly through harmonic steps (F, E7) back toward the tonic. From a tactile perspective, navigating this key delivers a commanding acoustic realm with abrupt dynamic contrasts between minor darkness and major relief.
