Alive Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

This Advanced publication (conservatory diploma level (ABRSM/RCM Grade 8 or Associate)) serves as an instructive study in keyboard voicing. Pianists must address balancing complex polyphonic textures, negotiating rapid register shifts, and sustaining virtuosic momentum. Passages dominated by broken arpeggio figures and modern pulse chords benefit from conscious dynamic shading. Regarding pedal usage, refresh damper pedal depth synchronously with bass root changes. Study Routine: block intricate passage work into chord clusters to cement muscle memory before speeding up. Score pointer: Focus on projecting the melody above dense chordal textures while maintaining a steady pulse. Use controlled crescendos through the chorus, voicing the top note.

Organized under a 4/4 time signature, the music exhibits a simple quadruple meter with 4 beats per measure. At ♩ = 100 BPM (Moderato), the pacing unfolds in a manner described as balanced with steady metric poise. A core performance guideline: listen for the overarching four-bar hypermeter to keep phrases singing rather than measure-bound.

With F Minor as the primary tonal anchor, the notation designates four flats (B♭, E♭, A♭, D♭, with E♮ leading tone). Phrase arches gravitate toward F, counterpointed by coloristic pivots into A-flat Major and subdominant foundations in B-flat Minor. Voice leading proceeds primarily through diatonic harmonic motion involving tonic, subdominant, and dominant degrees. Under the fingers, F Minor features a somber tonal setting where wide chordal spans require flexible hand expansion.

Alive highlights Sia's refined handling of musical materials in the contemporary pop piano repertory. The complete engraving encompasses 174 measures across 9 pages, verified against standard contemporary studio engravings. Bibliographic registers identify this title under ISWC `T-51F.A5C.1F-1` and catalog entry `mbid-51fa5c1f-pianistforum`. Archival notes observe: Sia released "Alive" in 2015 as the lead single from the album This Is Acting. The song was co-written by Sia, Adele, and Tobias Jesso Jr., and became widely recognized for its mes.

Performance Applications: In performance programming, Alive is well matched for contemporary vocal accompaniment, student recitals, and studio recordings.

Transposition Guide: The default key of F Minor suits standard instrumental ranges. Vocalists seeking a lower tessitura can transpose down to D-sharp Minor, while high-register singers modulate up to G Minor. B♭ brass transpose to G Minor.
