The temporal design is written in 4/4 (simple quadruple meter), establishing a steady common-time pulse providing natural rhythmic symmetry across four quarter-note subdivisions. The indicated tempo mark of ♩ = 107 BPM (*Allegro moderato*) suggests an atmosphere that is lively with energetic forward stride. Interpretively, avoid pounding downbeats mechanically; keep the line buoyant through intermediate pulses.

Benchmarked against Intermediate syllabus standards (intermediate study curriculum (RCM Level 5–6)), the work develops refined tonal control. Key hurdles center on achieving fluid finger legato without relying on the damper pedal to mask uneven key releases. Supporting figures featuring transparent two-part polyphony and classical Alberti motion need relaxed wrist cushioning. Pedal coordination: coordinate pedal depressions immediately after finger strikes to keep harmonies articulate. Practice Recommendation: record your practice with emphasis on listening for crisp pedal releases on each harmonic pivot.

Anchored in E-flat Major, this work utilizes a key signature of three flats (B♭, E♭, A♭). The composer builds structural coherence around E♭, deploying the relative pole (C Minor) to introduce tonal contrast before resolving through B-flat Major. Harmonically, the progression Eb → Bb → Cm → Ab navigates expressive chord variations (Cm, Ab) returning home cleanly. Under the fingers, E-flat Major features a rich acoustic setting favored in classical literature for its heroic warmth and sonorous chord voicings.

1. Recital Staging: This selection integrates smoothly into classical concert programming and conservatory performance audits.

2. Key Customization: Adapting the original E-flat Major setting is straightforward: lower tessituras find comfort in D-flat Major, whereas soprano instruments or solo flutes achieve singing resonance in F Major.

3. Licensing Status: The composition is certified in the worldwide public domain, available for unfettered study, transcription, and live recital.
