Carcassi Op60 05 Urtext Performance Practice Edition & Harmonic Study Guide

Graded at the Intermediate level (intermediate study curriculum (RCM Level 5–6)), the score fosters disciplined keyboard ergonomics. The primary technical hurdle involves achieving fluid finger legato without relying on the damper pedal to mask uneven key releases. When negotiating transparent two-part polyphony and classical Alberti motion, ensure the singing melody stays dynamically elevated over the accompaniment. Acoustically, coordinate pedal depressions immediately after finger strikes to keep harmonies articulate. Practice Tip: drill awkward chord shifts at 60% tempo, ensuring fingers assume target hand shapes before descending.
