Close Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

Benchmarked against Intermediate syllabus standards (transitional keyboard syllabus (ABRSM Grade 4 to Trinity Grade 5)), the work develops refined tonal control. Key hurdles center on coordinating independent dynamic levels between hands while maintaining steady metric propulsion. Supporting figures featuring contemporary broken triad ostinatos and resonant pedal points need relaxed wrist cushioning. Pedal coordination: refresh damper pedal depth synchronously with bass root changes. Study Routine: play the melody forte while ghost-tapping the accompaniment keys silently beneath the surface. Score pointer: Emphasize the pulsing chordal groove with even eighth-note accompaniment and controlled wrist motion. Balance the duet-style melodic exchanges by voicing the up.

Framed in C-sharp Minor, the score establishes C♯ through a key signature featuring four sharps (F♯, C♯, G♯, D♯, alongside B♯ leading tone). Harmonic variety is enriched through dialogue with the relative minor/major (E Major) alongside strong cadential support from G-sharp Major. The chordal vocabulary centers upon stable tonic statements alternating with G-sharp Major pivots. Physically, playing in this key offers a fiery minor key landscape where four raised pitches support powerful dynamic accents from the arm.

Created by Nick Jonas ft Tove Lo, the composition Close demonstrates notable craftsmanship within the modern pop keyboard selections. Encompassing 102 measures over 5 engraved pages, the work is collated from standard contemporary studio engravings. Authority databases register this work as `mbid-7b7b3deb-pianistforum` and ISWC `T-7B7.B3D.EB-1`. Historical archives note that "Close" was released in 2016 as the lead single from Nick Jonas's album "Last Year Was Complicated" and features Swedish singer Tove Lo. The collaboration became one of Jonas's mos.

The temporal design is written in 4/4 (simple quadruple meter), establishing a balanced metric groundwork providing grounded stability with primary weight on beat one and secondary stress on beat three. The indicated tempo mark of ♩ = 124 BPM (*Allegretto*) suggests an atmosphere that is moderately brisk, bright, and buoyant. Interpretively, listen for the overarching four-bar hypermeter to keep phrases singing rather than measure-bound.

When programming this selection, music educators frequently schedule Close for popular piano showcases, private lessons, and collaborative sessions. Performers can shift the default tonality of C# Minor according to singer comfort: a downward transition to B Minor reduces top-range vocal demands, while modulating to D-sharp Minor enhances acoustic carrying power for solo recitals.
