The complete engraving encompasses 94 measures across 5 pages, verified against accurate modern sheet transcriptions. The piece operates in A Minor, governed by a signature with zero sharps and zero flats (with G♯ serving as raised harmonic seventh). This tonal center positions A as the primary acoustic anchor, while C Major and the dominant E Major supply contrasting tonal colors. Harmonically, the progression Am → Dm → G → C → F → E7 moves through balanced harmonic transitions (F, E7) reinforcing the tonal root. From a tactile perspective, navigating this key delivers an introspective natural minor texture that demands deliberate hand placement when introducing the sharp leading tone.

Assigned an overall Intermediate rating (transitional keyboard syllabus (ABRSM Grade 4 to Trinity Grade 5)), the composition exercises manual independence. The central obstacle centers on managing two-part hand coordination and synchronizing pedal changes with harmonic shifts. In performing contemporary broken triad ostinatos and resonant pedal points, keep finger knuckles rounded and poised. For acoustic hygiene, feather the pedal to sustain bass notes without drowning upper textures. Practice Focus: play the melody forte while ghost-tapping the accompaniment keys silently beneath the surface.

In 4/4 (simple quadruple meter), rhythmic continuity is shaped by a well-proportioned metric pulse alternating primary and secondary stresses across the measure. The reference performance speed is ♩ = 114 BPM (*Animato*), yielding a cheerful with buoyant rhythmic bounce tempo profile. From a phrasing standpoint, avoid pounding downbeats mechanically; keep the line buoyant through intermediate pulses.

Curatorial Repertoire Role: The work serves as a reliable selection for community music performances and versatile studio accompaniment.

Tessitura & Key Transposition: The default key of A Minor suits standard instrumental ranges. Vocalists seeking a lower tessitura can transpose down to G Minor, while high-register singers modulate up to B Minor. B♭ brass transpose to B Minor.
