Doraji – Flute & Piano (E-flat Major)

The temporal design is written in 4/4 (simple quadruple meter), establishing an authoritative quadruple framework where downbeat accents anchor the overarching phrase architecture. The indicated tempo mark of ♩ = 107 BPM (*Tempo di marcia*) suggests an atmosphere that is spirited with crisp finger articulation. Interpretively, listen for the overarching four-bar hypermeter to keep phrases singing rather than measure-bound.

Set within the harmonic domain of E-flat Major (three flats (B♭, E♭, A♭)), the score secures tonal focus on E♭. Expressive depth is enhanced through secondary pivots into C Minor and dominant reinforcement via B-flat Major. Harmonically, the progression Eb → Bb → Cm → Ab cycles smoothly through harmonic steps (Cm, Ab) back toward the tonic. In terms of hand topography, E-flat Major yields a majestic keyboard architecture where three flats naturally cushion fingers two, three, and four.

Attributed to Traditional World, Doraji – Flute & Piano (E-flat Major) forms an integral entry in the modern classical keyboard selections. Laid out across 2 pages containing 40 measures, this score draws authenticity from accurate modern sheet transcriptions. Work tracking associates this edition with ISWC identifier `T-F19.1B3.D6-1` and registry `mbid-f191b3d6-pianistforum`.

Benchmarked against Intermediate syllabus standards (intermediate study curriculum (RCM Level 5–6)), the work develops refined tonal control. Key hurdles center on projecting the cantabile soprano melody while suppressing inner accompaniment voices. Supporting figures featuring transparent two-part polyphony and classical Alberti motion need relaxed wrist cushioning. Pedal coordination: use light, shallow pedaling to enhance acoustic warmth without muddling inner voices. Technical Drill: record your practice with emphasis on listening for crisp pedal releases on each harmonic pivot.

Pianists frequently schedule this piece for formal piano masterclasses, recital auditions, and degree juries. Adapting the original E-flat Major setting is straightforward: lower tessituras find comfort in D-flat Major, whereas soprano instruments or solo flutes achieve singing resonance in F Major. Due to authorial timeline expiry, the piece is in the worldwide public domain for academic and commercial performance alike.
