Ethlor Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

Framed in A Major, the score establishes A through a key signature featuring three sharps (F♯, C♯, G♯). Harmonic variety is enriched through dialogue with the relative minor/major (F-sharp Minor) alongside strong cadential support from E Major. Harmonically, the progression A → G → Am → F → Dm → G7 rests on a half-cadential dominant harmony that builds musical anticipation. From a tactile perspective, navigating this key delivers a luminous harmonic atmosphere demanding balanced forearm weight distribution on wide melodic shifts.

Rooted in the contemporary pop piano repertory, Ethlor stands as a representative work by Branfey Davesworth. The publication presents 2 pages totaling 39 notation measures, cross-checked against accurate modern sheet transcriptions. Digital music repositories index this composition under ISWC `T-DEE.9DB.E6-1`.

Designed for Easy level pianists (early progressive keyboard syllabus (ABRSM Grade 3 standard)), this piece demands clean articulation and hand balance. The chief hurdle entails securing rhythmic stability between hands and navigating gentle five-finger position changes. Balancing contemporary broken triad ostinatos and resonant pedal points requires distinct volume separation between parts. Furthermore, execute full pedal clears at dynamic changes to highlight intimate moments. Preparatory Exercise: rehearse hands individually with a metronome at slow speeds before coordinating hands together.

Rhythmic momentum flows through a 4/4 metric framework (simple quadruple meter). Calibrated to ♩ = 113 BPM (*Allegro moderato*), the piece moves with a lively with energetic forward stride pulse. As a practical study rule, subdivide internally with relaxed forearm weight to prevent metric stiffness across bar lines.

Performance Applications: In performance programming, Ethlor is well matched for community music performances and versatile studio accompaniment.

Transposition Guide: When adjusting the native tonality of A Major, accompanists can shift down a step to G Major for lower voice types or lift the melody into B Major for tenors and sopranos. Woodwinds read comfortably using E Major.
