Faded Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

Faded, credited to Alan Walker, occupies an established chapter within the popular pop sheet music repertoire. this 3-page transcription spans 54 measures, drawing from accurate modern sheet transcriptions. Rights records link the piece to ISWC `T-918.3A8.E2-1` and bibliographic identifier `mbid-9183a8e2-pianistforum`.

The piece operates in A Major, governed by a signature with three sharps (F♯, C♯, G♯). This tonal center positions A as the primary acoustic anchor, while F-sharp Minor and the dominant E Major supply contrasting tonal colors. Harmonically, the progression A → G → Am → F → Dm → G7 rests on a half-cadential dominant harmony that builds musical anticipation. At the keyboard, A Major provides a sparkling tonal environment where the trio of sharps elevates hand position toward the black-key cluster.

Benchmarked against Intermediate syllabus standards (intermediate study curriculum (RCM Level 5–6)), the work develops refined tonal control. Key hurdles center on managing two-part hand coordination and synchronizing pedal changes with harmonic shifts. Supporting figures featuring flowing keyboard arpeggios that support emotional melodic peaks need relaxed wrist cushioning. Pedal coordination: execute full pedal clears at dynamic changes to highlight intimate moments. Recommended Exercise: record your practice with emphasis on listening for crisp pedal releases on each harmonic pivot.

Cast in 4/4 (simple quadruple meter), the score delivers an authoritative quadruple framework where downbeat accents anchor the overarching phrase architecture. At ♩ = 95 BPM (*Tempo comodo*), the musical progression remains composed with disciplined, graceful rhythm. Pedagogical directive: subdivide internally with relaxed forearm weight to prevent metric stiffness across bar lines.

Pianists frequently schedule this piece for community music performances and versatile studio accompaniment. To accommodate diverse vocal registers, accompanists can transpose the A Major score: baritones rest easily in G Major, while lyric tenors and high soloists project effortlessly in B Major.
