Faded Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

Tonal grounding is defined by C Major, marked in the score by zero sharps and zero flats. The music alternates stability on C with expressive harmonic excursions toward A Minor and its parallel relation, C Minor. Harmonically, the progression C → G → Am → F → Dm → G7 pauses expressively on an open half-cadence, leaving harmonic expectation unresolved. From a tactile perspective, navigating this key delivers a white-key keyboard terrain where maintaining firm knuckle support prevents flat-finger fatigue.

Rooted in the modern pop keyboard selections, Faded stands as a representative work by Alan Walker. The publication presents 4 pages totaling 75 notation measures, cross-checked against standard contemporary studio engravings. Digital music repositories index this composition under ISWC `T-5F7.5CE.29-1`.

Metric propulsion relies on 3/4 (simple triple meter), giving the piece an elegant three-beat cycle with an expressive first beat and lighter companion pulses. Set to a metronome speed of ♩ = 83 BPM (*Andante con moto*), the overall character feels moving at a tranquil, forward-leaning pulse. Pianists should ensure that they feel the larger one-in-a-bar gesture to keep phrases airborne rather than stomping on each quarter note.

Targeted at Intermediate players (mid-tier conservatory syllabus (ABRSM Grade 5 standard)), this score presents rewarding interpretive and tactile hurdles. Attention should center on coordinating independent dynamic levels between hands while maintaining steady metric propulsion. Accompaniment passages containing cinematic rolling bass sweeps and sustained chord foundations require subdued dynamics to spotlight the melody. Mechanically, feather the pedal to sustain bass notes without drowning upper textures. Rehearsal Step: play the melody forte while ghost-tapping the accompaniment keys silently beneath the surface.

When programming this selection, music educators frequently schedule Faded for popular piano showcases, private lessons, and collaborative sessions. While engraved in C Major, the work accommodates vocal adjustments readily: modulating down into B-flat Major eases strain for baritones, whereas moving upward to D Major highlights brilliance in soprano or tenor solos.
