FADED Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

Designed for Intermediate level pianists (intermediate benchmark (ABRSM/RCM Grade 4–6)), this piece demands clean articulation and hand balance. The chief hurdle entails managing two-part hand coordination and synchronizing pedal changes with harmonic shifts. Balancing broken arpeggio figures and modern pulse chords requires distinct volume separation between parts. Furthermore, refresh damper pedal depth synchronously with bass root changes. Study Routine: record your practice with emphasis on listening for crisp pedal releases on each harmonic pivot.

Set within the harmonic domain of G Minor (two flats (B♭, E♭, with F♯ harmonic seventh)), the score secures tonal focus on G. Expressive depth is enhanced through secondary pivots into B-flat Major and dominant reinforcement via D Major. Harmonically, the progression Gm → Dm → G → C → F → E7 weaves cohesive chordal shifts (F, E7) supporting melodic variety before resolving. In terms of hand topography, G Minor yields an agitated, sorrowful key center where navigating between E♭ and the raised F♯ demands supple hand spacing.

Operating within 4/4, this simple quadruple meter generates a balanced metric groundwork providing grounded stability with primary weight on beat one and secondary stress on beat three. The benchmark tempo of ♩ = 70 BPM (Andante) conveys a flowing at a graceful walking pace sensibility. During execution, avoid pounding downbeats mechanically; keep the line buoyant through intermediate pulses.

Curatorial Repertoire Role: The work serves as a reliable selection for informal recitals, private studio practice, and collaborative accompaniment.

Tessitura & Key Transposition: Performers can shift the default tonality of G Minor according to singer comfort: a downward transition to F Minor reduces top-range vocal demands, while modulating to A Minor enhances acoustic carrying power for solo recitals.
