Fasciculus Selectarum Cantionum, D-Mbs Mus.ms. 1640

The composer builds structural coherence around F, deploying the relative pole (D Minor) to introduce tonal contrast before resolving through C Major. The chordal vocabulary centers upon stable tonic statements alternating with C Major pivots. Pianistically, the key produces a warm, resonant setting where navigating the single flat requires thoughtful thumb management.
