Assigned an overall Intermediate rating (intermediate study curriculum (RCM Level 5–6)), the composition exercises manual independence. The central obstacle centers on managing two-part hand coordination and synchronizing pedal changes with harmonic shifts. In performing transparent two-part polyphony and classical Alberti motion, keep finger knuckles rounded and poised. For acoustic hygiene, coordinate pedal depressions immediately after finger strikes to keep harmonies articulate. Recommended Exercise: play the melody forte while ghost-tapping the accompaniment keys silently beneath the surface.

Metric propulsion relies on 4/4 (simple quadruple meter), giving the piece a balanced metric groundwork providing grounded stability with primary weight on beat one and secondary stress on beat three. Set to a metronome speed of ♩ = 115 BPM (*Allegretto*), the overall character feels moderately brisk, bright, and buoyant. Pianists should ensure that they channel energy through the middle beats toward subsequent downbeats to preserve continuous phrasing arcs.

Anchored in B-flat Major, this work utilizes a key signature of two flats (B♭, E♭). The composer builds structural coherence around B♭, deploying the relative pole (G Minor) to introduce tonal contrast before resolving through F Major. Harmonically, the progression Bb → F → Gm → Eb navigates expressive chord variations (Gm, Eb) returning home cleanly. Pianistically, the key produces a noble tonal landscape that supports relaxed arm weight across its two flat accidentals.

Pianists frequently schedule this piece for classical concert programming and conservatory performance audits. To accommodate diverse vocal registers, accompanists can transpose the B-flat Major score: baritones rest easily in A-flat Major, while lyric tenors and high soloists project effortlessly in C Major. This title stands in the global public domain, enabling unhindered study, liturgical execution, and recital programming.
