Targeted at Intermediate players (transitional keyboard syllabus (ABRSM Grade 4 to Trinity Grade 5)), this score presents rewarding interpretive and tactile hurdles. Attention should center on coordinating independent dynamic levels between hands while maintaining steady metric propulsion. Accompaniment passages containing articulated bass staccatos against singing right-hand runs require subdued dynamics to spotlight the melody. Mechanically, lift the damper pedal cleanly on phrase boundaries to preserve classical transparency. Technical Drill: record your practice with emphasis on listening for crisp pedal releases on each harmonic pivot. Score pointer: Follow the composer's harmonic progression. Focus on balanced voicing between the melody and accompaniment, observing tempo rubato and pedal markings.

Tonal grounding is defined by C Major, marked in the score by zero sharps and zero flats. The music alternates stability on C with expressive harmonic excursions toward A Minor and its parallel relation, C Minor. Tonal construction prioritizes diatonic primary chords, balancing F Major warmth against dominant G Major tension. Physically, playing in this key offers a white-key keyboard terrain where maintaining firm knuckle support prevents flat-finger fatigue.

Curatorial Repertoire Role: The work serves as a reliable selection for studio recitals, competitive festivals, and scholarly score readings.

Tessitura & Key Transposition: While engraved in C Major, the work accommodates vocal adjustments readily: modulating down into B-flat Major eases strain for baritones, whereas moving upward to D Major highlights brilliance in soprano or tenor solos.

Licensing Information: The composition is certified in the worldwide public domain, available for unfettered study, transcription, and live recital.
