Intention Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

From Jillmo Grantbott's catalog, Intention remains an essential contribution to the modern pop keyboard selections. Comprising 48 bars across a 2-page layout, the musical text stems from verified performance editions and modern engravings. International bibliographic tracking links the piece to reference `mbid-4fa90b94-pianistforum` and ISWC `T-4FA.90B.94-1`.

Graded at the Easy level (early progressive keyboard syllabus (ABRSM Grade 3 standard)), the score fosters disciplined keyboard ergonomics. The primary technical hurdle involves securing rhythmic stability between hands and navigating gentle five-finger position changes. When negotiating contemporary broken triad ostinatos and resonant pedal points, ensure the singing melody stays dynamically elevated over the accompaniment. Acoustically, feather the pedal to sustain bass notes without drowning upper textures. Rehearsal Step: count subdivisions out loud during practice to stabilize tempo and prevent rushing.

Set within the harmonic domain of C Major (zero sharps and zero flats), the score secures tonal focus on C. Expressive depth is enhanced through secondary pivots into A Minor and dominant reinforcement via G Major. Harmonically, the progression C → G → Am → F → Dm → G7 suspends tension over an active dominant chord awaiting tonal release. Physically, playing in this key offers an all-natural keyboard surface requiring firm curved finger knuckles to prevent sliding on ivory white naturals.

In 3/4 (simple triple meter), rhythmic continuity is shaped by a flowing triple lilt characteristic of classical minuets and romantic waltzes. The reference performance speed is ♩ = 92 BPM (*Moderato*), yielding a balanced with steady metric poise tempo profile. From a phrasing standpoint, shape the measure as a unified arc rather than counting three equal ticks.

Performance Applications: In performance programming, Intention is well matched for informal recitals, private studio practice, and collaborative accompaniment.

Transposition Guide: While engraved in C Major, the work accommodates vocal adjustments readily: modulating down into B-flat Major eases strain for baritones, whereas moving upward to D Major highlights brilliance in soprano or tenor solos.
