JUDGMENT

Attributed to Davebel, JUDGMENT forms an integral entry in the popular pop sheet music repertoire. Laid out across 3 pages containing 59 measures, this score draws authenticity from verified performance editions and modern engravings. Work tracking associates this edition with ISWC identifier `T-9AA.40F.47-1` and registry `mbid-9aa40f47-pianistforum`.

The piece operates in E-flat Major, governed by a signature with three flats (B♭, E♭, A♭). This tonal center positions E♭ as the primary acoustic anchor, while C Minor and the dominant B-flat Major supply contrasting tonal colors. Harmonically, the progression E → flat → G → Am → F → Dm pauses expressively on an open half-cadence, leaving harmonic expectation unresolved. For the performer, this layout is characterized by a majestic keyboard architecture where three flats naturally cushion fingers two, three, and four.

In 6/8 (compound duple meter), rhythmic continuity is shaped by a graceful lilting pulse alternating two buoyant compound beats in every measure. The reference performance speed is ♩ = 70 BPM (*Moderato cantabile*), yielding a poised with natural rhythmic breathing tempo profile. From a phrasing standpoint, maintain a relaxed wrist to allow the triplet subdivisions to roll like water.

Assigned an overall Intermediate rating (intermediate study curriculum (RCM Level 5–6)), the composition exercises manual independence. The central obstacle centers on achieving fluid finger legato without relying on the damper pedal to mask uneven key releases. In performing flowing keyboard arpeggios that support emotional melodic peaks, keep finger knuckles rounded and poised. For acoustic hygiene, refresh damper pedal depth synchronously with bass root changes. Study Routine: drill awkward chord shifts at 60% tempo, ensuring fingers assume target hand shapes before descending.

Pianists frequently schedule this piece for contemporary vocal accompaniment, student recitals, and studio recordings. When adjusting the native tonality of E-flat Major, accompanists can shift down a step to D-flat Major for lower voice types or lift the melody into F Major for tenors and sopranos. Woodwinds read comfortably using B-flat Major. Archived for instructional reference subject to `unknown`, curated for academic score evaluation.
