Liked Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

Rooted in the contemporary pop piano repertory, Liked stands as a representative work by Selena G. The publication presents 2 pages totaling 39 notation measures, cross-checked against accurate modern sheet transcriptions. Digital music repositories index this composition under ISWC `T-6F7.F55.C3-1`.

Pedagogically suited for Easy students (elementary benchmark (ABRSM/RCM Grade 2–3)), this piece develops essential touch control. Key challenges focus on executing clean thumb crossings beneath fingers two and three during scalar shifts. In sections with broken arpeggio figures and modern pulse chords, maintain flexible forearm rotation to prevent stiffness. Pedaling requirement: feather the pedal to sustain bass notes without drowning upper textures. Recommended Exercise: tap the rhythm on closed keyboard lid with both hands to reinforce coordination before playing notes.

Set within the harmonic domain of D Major (two sharps (F♯, C♯)), the score secures tonal focus on D. Expressive depth is enhanced through secondary pivots into B Minor and dominant reinforcement via A Major. Harmonically, the progression D → G → Am → F → Dm → G7 pauses expressively on an open half-cadence, leaving harmonic expectation unresolved. In terms of hand topography, D Major yields an open, sonorous layout where F♯ and C♯ provide comfortable finger fulcrums for both hands.

In 4/4 (simple quadruple meter), rhythmic continuity is shaped by an authoritative quadruple framework where downbeat accents anchor the overarching phrase architecture. The reference performance speed is ♩ = 113 BPM (*Tempo di marcia*), yielding a spirited with crisp finger articulation tempo profile. From a phrasing standpoint, subdivide internally with relaxed forearm weight to prevent metric stiffness across bar lines.

Performance Applications: In performance programming, Liked is well matched for popular piano showcases, private lessons, and collaborative sessions.

Transposition Guide: Performers can shift the default tonality of D Major according to singer comfort: a downward transition to C Major reduces top-range vocal demands, while modulating to E Major enhances acoustic carrying power for solo recitals.
