Reason Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

Rooted in the contemporary pop piano repertory, Reason stands as a representative work by Various Artists. The publication presents 3 pages totaling 60 notation measures, cross-checked against verified performance editions and modern engravings. Digital music repositories index this composition under ISWC `T-0E8.B23.B2-1`.

This Intermediate publication (intermediate study curriculum (RCM Level 5–6)) serves as an instructive study in keyboard voicing. Pianists must address achieving fluid finger legato without relying on the damper pedal to mask uneven key releases. Passages dominated by flowing keyboard arpeggios that support emotional melodic peaks benefit from conscious dynamic shading. Regarding pedal usage, execute full pedal clears at dynamic changes to highlight intimate moments. Practice Tip: drill awkward chord shifts at 60% tempo, ensuring fingers assume target hand shapes before descending.

The temporal design is written in 4/4 (simple quadruple meter), establishing an authoritative quadruple framework where downbeat accents anchor the overarching phrase architecture. The indicated tempo mark of ♩ = 71 BPM (*Poco andante*) suggests an atmosphere that is singing with gentle, steady momentum. Interpretively, listen for the overarching four-bar hypermeter to keep phrases singing rather than measure-bound.

Tonal grounding is defined by A Major, marked in the score by three sharps (F♯, C♯, G♯). The music alternates stability on A with expressive harmonic excursions toward F-sharp Minor and its parallel relation, A Minor. Harmonically, the progression A → G → Am → F → Dm → G7 concludes with a questioning dominant pivot that commands forward continuation. For the performer, this layout is characterized by a brilliant upper tessitura demanding attentive thumb passage beneath fingers two and three during arpeggios.

Curatorial Repertoire Role: The work serves as a reliable selection for informal recitals, private studio practice, and collaborative accompaniment.

Tessitura & Key Transposition: For performers transposing away from A Major, optimal vocal targets include G Major for medium-low voices and B Major for upper registers. B♭ transposing instruments sound in concert pitch when reading the score in B Major.
