Harmonic variety is enriched through dialogue with the relative minor/major (A Minor) alongside strong cadential support from G Major. Targeted at Intermediate players (transitional keyboard syllabus (ABRSM Grade 4 to Trinity Grade 5)), this score presents rewarding interpretive and tactile hurdles. Attention should center on managing two-part hand coordination and synchronizing pedal changes with harmonic shifts. Accompaniment passages containing articulated bass staccatos against singing right-hand runs require subdued dynamics to spotlight the melody. Mechanically, employ syncopated pedal changes immediately following each chordal shift to avoid acoustic blurs. Practice Tip: record your practice with emphasis on listening for crisp pedal releases on each harmonic pivot.
