Rhythmic momentum flows through a 4/4 metric framework (simple quadruple meter). Calibrated to ♩ = 88 BPM (*Moderato*), the piece moves with a balanced with steady metric poise pulse. This Intermediate publication (transitional keyboard syllabus (ABRSM Grade 4 to Trinity Grade 5)) serves as an instructive study in keyboard voicing. Pianists must address achieving fluid finger legato without relying on the damper pedal to mask uneven key releases. Passages dominated by articulated bass staccatos against singing right-hand runs benefit from conscious dynamic shading. Regarding pedal usage, lift the damper pedal cleanly on phrase boundaries to preserve classical transparency. Preparatory Exercise: record your practice with emphasis on listening for crisp pedal releases on each harmonic pivot.
