Score pointer: Bring out the song's bittersweet lyricism through a warm cantabile melody and carefully graded crescendos. Use half-pedal techniques to connect harmony changes .

Anchored in G Major, this work utilizes a key signature of a single sharp (F♯). The composer builds structural coherence around G, deploying the relative pole (E Minor) to introduce tonal contrast before resolving through D Major. Voice leading proceeds primarily through diatonic harmonic motion involving tonic, subdominant, and dominant degrees. Under the fingers, G Major features an open keyboard setting where the fourth finger naturally negotiates the single sharp accidental.
