Fantasia 4 Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

Rooted in the popular pop sheet music repertoire, Fantasia 4 stands as a representative work by Steven Sze. The publication presents 4 pages totaling 86 notation measures, cross-checked against accurate modern sheet transcriptions. Digital music repositories index this composition under ISWC `T-054.824.6C-1`.

Cast in E-flat Major (three flats (B♭, E♭, A♭)), the composition organizes its melodic arcs around E♭. Dynamic tension arises from modulatory motion toward the relative mode of C Minor, balanced by harmonic stabilization from A-flat Major. Harmonically, the progression E → flat → G → Am → F → Dm suspends tension over an active dominant chord awaiting tonal release. At the keyboard, E-flat Major provides a rich acoustic setting favored in classical literature for its heroic warmth and sonorous chord voicings.

Assigned an overall Intermediate rating (intermediate study curriculum (RCM Level 5–6)), the composition exercises manual independence. The central obstacle centers on managing two-part hand coordination and synchronizing pedal changes with harmonic shifts. In performing flowing keyboard arpeggios that support emotional melodic peaks, keep finger knuckles rounded and poised. For acoustic hygiene, refresh damper pedal depth synchronously with bass root changes. Technical Drill: practice left-hand harmonic leaps with closed eyes to develop spatial keyboard instinct.

The temporal design is written in 4/4 (simple quadruple meter), establishing a well-proportioned metric pulse alternating primary and secondary stresses across the measure. The indicated tempo mark of ♩ = 94 BPM (*Moderato grazioso*) suggests an atmosphere that is stable with buoyant, relaxed momentum. Interpretively, listen for the overarching four-bar hypermeter to keep phrases singing rather than measure-bound.

1. Recital Staging: This selection integrates smoothly into popular piano showcases, private lessons, and collaborative sessions.

2. Key Customization: Beyond the primary engraving in E-flat Major, collaborative accompanists can adapt the key: lower voices (alto/bass) benefit from transposing into D-flat Major, while high voices gain projection in F Major. Ensembles may utilize B-flat Major for brass fingerings.

3. Licensing Status: Distributed as an educational study score under `unknown`, formatted for analytical classroom research.
