Mozart madness

Benchmarked against Easy syllabus standards (early progressive keyboard syllabus (ABRSM Grade 3 standard)), the work develops refined tonal control. Key hurdles center on securing rhythmic stability between hands and navigating gentle five-finger position changes. Supporting figures featuring articulated bass staccatos against singing right-hand runs need relaxed wrist cushioning. Pedal coordination: employ syncopated pedal changes immediately following each chordal shift to avoid acoustic blurs. Rehearsal Step: shadow-play the accompanimental chords silently while sounding the melodic line out loud.

Attributed to Gary Sturt, Mozart madness forms an integral entry in the contemporary classical piano repertory. Laid out across 2 pages containing 47 measures, this score draws authenticity from standard contemporary studio engravings. Work tracking associates this edition with ISWC identifier `T-36C.31E.BB-1` and registry `mbid-36c31ebb-pianistforum`.

Cast in E-flat Major (three flats (B♭, E♭, A♭)), the composition organizes its melodic arcs around E♭. Dynamic tension arises from modulatory motion toward the relative mode of C Minor, balanced by harmonic stabilization from A-flat Major. Harmonically, the progression E → flat → G → Am → F → Dm pauses expressively on an open half-cadence, leaving harmonic expectation unresolved. Under the fingers, E-flat Major features a deeply expressive layout that encourages an open, tension-free hand arch on rolling chord figures.

Organized under a 4/4 time signature, the music exhibits a simple quadruple meter with 4 beats per measure. At ♩ = 91 BPM (Moderato), the pacing unfolds in a manner described as balanced with steady metric poise. A core performance guideline: channel energy through the middle beats toward subsequent downbeats to preserve continuous phrasing arcs.

1. Recital Staging: This selection integrates smoothly into studio recitals, competitive festivals, and scholarly score readings.

2. Key Customization: While engraved in E-flat Major, the work accommodates vocal adjustments readily: modulating down into D-flat Major eases strain for baritones, whereas moving upward to F Major highlights brilliance in soprano or tenor solos.

3. Licensing Status: Prepared as a reference study edition under `unknown_needs_review` standards for non-commercial pedagogical exploration.
