Rasputin

Tonal grounding is defined by G Major, marked in the score by a single sharp (F♯). The music alternates stability on G with expressive harmonic excursions toward E Minor and its parallel relation, G Minor. Harmonically, the progression G → Am → F → Dm → G7 rests on a half-cadential dominant harmony that builds musical anticipation. Physically, playing in this key offers a sunny tonal landscape where the single raised pitch F♯ creates clear melodic direction toward the tonic.

Rasputin highlights vojtechfryber's refined handling of musical materials in the contemporary pop piano repertory. The complete engraving encompasses 49 measures across 2 pages, verified against verified performance editions and modern engravings. Bibliographic registers identify this title under ISWC `T-2E7.F65.30-1` and catalog entry `mbid-2e7f6530-pianistforum`.

The temporal design is written in 4/4 (simple quadruple meter), establishing a balanced metric groundwork providing grounded stability with primary weight on beat one and secondary stress on beat three. The indicated tempo mark of ♩ = 108 BPM (*Allegretto*) suggests an atmosphere that is moderately brisk, bright, and buoyant. Interpretively, avoid pounding downbeats mechanically; keep the line buoyant through intermediate pulses.

This Easy publication (foundation study curriculum (RCM Level 1–2)) serves as an instructive study in keyboard voicing. Pianists must address securing rhythmic stability between hands and navigating gentle five-finger position changes. Passages dominated by flowing keyboard arpeggios that support emotional melodic peaks benefit from conscious dynamic shading. Regarding pedal usage, feather the pedal to sustain bass notes without drowning upper textures. Practice Recommendation: rehearse hands individually with a metronome at slow speeds before coordinating hands together.

Performance Applications: In performance programming, Rasputin is well matched for community music performances and versatile studio accompaniment.

Transposition Guide: When adjusting the native tonality of G Major, accompanists can shift down a step to F Major for lower voice types or lift the melody into A Major for tenors and sopranos. Woodwinds read comfortably using D Major.
