E Flat Note On The Staff
Here is probably the most common E flat you’ll see. It sits on the first line of the treble clef and is the E flat above middle C.
Below are different E flats that you will see on the treble and bass clef. Remember that we can play E flat notes an octave higher or lower from the E flat above middle C. This means that technically there are infinite E flat notes to choose from!
Below are notes that are enharmonically equivalent to E flat. D sharp means one half-step above D, which is E flat. F double flat means two half steps below F, which is also E flat.
E Flat Note On The Piano And Keyboard
E flat sits between the D and E white keys on the keyboard. The black keys move in groups of two then three. The E flat note is the second black key in each of the groups of 2.
You might also remember it as the fifth white key above C. This is because G is a perfect 5th above C.

We can add accidental signs to a E flat note and these are shown below. Remember that all these notes are not enharmonically equivalent to E flat.
