F Sharp Note On The Staff
Here is probably the most common F sharp you’ll see. It sits on the first space of the treble clef and is the F sharp above middle C.
Below are different F sharps that you will see on the treble and bass clef. Remember that we can play F sharp notes an octave higher or lower from the F sharp above middle C. This means that technically there are infinite F sharp notes to choose from!
Below are notes that are enharmonically equivalent to F sharp. G flat means one half-step below G, which is F sharp. E double sharp means two half steps above E, which is also F sharp.
F Sharp Note On The Piano And Keyboard
F sharp sits between the F and G white keys on the keyboard. The black keys move in groups of two then three. The F sharp note is the first black key in the groups of 3.
You might also remember it as the note above F natural.

We can add accidental signs to a F sharp note and these are shown below. Remember that all these notes (with the exception of F sharp natural) are not enharmonically equivalent to F sharp.
