G Sharp Note On The Staff
Here is probably the most common G sharp you’ll see. It sits on the second line of the treble clef and is the G sharp above middle C.
Below are different G sharps that you will see on the treble and bass clef. Remember that we can play G sharp notes an octave higher or lower from the G sharp above middle C. This means that technically there are infinite G sharp notes to choose from!
Below are notes that are enharmonically equivalent to G sharp. A flat means one half step below A, which is also G sharp.
G Sharp Note On The Piano And Keyboard
G sharp sits between the G and A white keys on the keyboard. The black keys move in groups of two then three. The G note is the middle black key in the groups of 3.
You might also remember it as the black key above G natural.

We can add accidental signs to a G sharp note and these are shown below. Remember that all these notes (with the exception of G sharp natural) are not enharmonically equivalent to G sharp.
