There's a lot of good theology in the words of this hymn called "An Old Account Settled," or "The Old Account Was Settled Long Ago." I think I first heard "The Old Account" on an album by evangelist Lester Roloff when I was a young child back in the 1960s. My mother enjoyed his preaching and singing and had several of his albums. Later I heard it sung by Doc Watson, and now I associate the song with both of them.
