Another Medium Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

Another Medium, credited to Toby Fox, occupies an established chapter within the modern video-games keyboard selections. this 4-page transcription spans 81 measures, drawing from standard contemporary studio engravings. Rights records link the piece to ISWC `T-F70.49A.D2-1` and bibliographic identifier `mbid-f7049ad2-pianistforum`.

Metric propulsion relies on 3/4 (simple triple meter), giving the piece a flowing triple lilt characteristic of classical minuets and romantic waltzes. Set to a metronome speed of ♩ = 104 BPM (*Allegretto*), the overall character feels moderately brisk, bright, and buoyant. Pianists should ensure that they let beats two and three float effortlessly above the grounded bass root.

Assigned an overall Intermediate rating (transitional keyboard syllabus (ABRSM Grade 4 to Trinity Grade 5)), the composition exercises manual independence. The central obstacle centers on achieving fluid finger legato without relying on the damper pedal to mask uneven key releases. In performing contemporary broken triad ostinatos and resonant pedal points, keep finger knuckles rounded and poised. For acoustic hygiene, execute full pedal clears at dynamic changes to highlight intimate moments. Rehearsal Step: drill awkward chord shifts at 60% tempo, ensuring fingers assume target hand shapes before descending.

The foundational pitch center is C Major (zero sharps and zero flats). Here, C serves as the primary resting point, while modulations into A Minor and dominant tensions in G Major shape the emotional contour. Harmonically, the progression C → G → Am → F → Dm → G7 suspends tension over an active dominant chord awaiting tonal release. Keyboardists will find that C Major creates a white-key keyboard terrain where maintaining firm knuckle support prevents flat-finger fatigue.

When programming this selection, music educators frequently schedule Another Medium for informal recitals, private studio practice, and collaborative accompaniment. To accommodate diverse vocal registers, accompanists can transpose the C Major score: baritones rest easily in B-flat Major, while lyric tenors and high soloists project effortlessly in D Major.
