Fallen Down Piano Solo Arrangement with Chords, Metronome & BPM

The piece operates in E Minor, governed by a signature with one sharp (F♯, with D♯ harmonic inflection). This tonal center positions E as the primary acoustic anchor, while G Major and the dominant B Major supply contrasting tonal colors. Harmonically, the progression Em → Dm → G → C → F → E7 weaves cohesive chordal shifts (F, E7) supporting melodic variety before resolving. From a tactile perspective, navigating this key delivers a brooding color space marked by tight half-step attraction between the tonic and its raised leading tone.

In 4/4 (simple quadruple meter), rhythmic continuity is shaped by a steady common-time pulse providing natural rhythmic symmetry across four quarter-note subdivisions. The reference performance speed is ♩ = 112 BPM (*Allegro moderato*), yielding a lively with energetic forward stride tempo profile. From a phrasing standpoint, channel energy through the middle beats toward subsequent downbeats to preserve continuous phrasing arcs.

Graded at the Easy level (foundation study curriculum (RCM Level 1–2)), the score fosters disciplined keyboard ergonomics. The primary technical hurdle involves executing clean thumb crossings beneath fingers two and three during scalar shifts. When negotiating flowing keyboard arpeggios that support emotional melodic peaks, ensure the singing melody stays dynamically elevated over the accompaniment. Acoustically, execute full pedal clears at dynamic changes to highlight intimate moments. Practice Recommendation: rehearse hands individually with a metronome at slow speeds before coordinating hands together.

When programming this selection, music educators frequently schedule Fallen Down for informal recitals, private studio practice, and collaborative accompaniment. The default key of E Minor suits standard instrumental ranges. Vocalists seeking a lower tessitura can transpose down to D Minor, while high-register singers modulate up to F-sharp Minor. B♭ brass transpose to F-sharp Minor. From an attribution perspective: Curated as an academic study resource governed by `unknown_needs_review`, intended for individual repertoire development.
